Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
